Report on Piper

Please find enclosed a report on Piper and the pups and our day out at the RSPCA launch of their leaps and Bounds appeal. Piper has now been on MM since March this year. The end of May this year she went to be covered for her second litter. Through out the 63 days Piper remained on MM. This time I did not have to worry about increased protein levels, how wonderful. All had to do was gradually increase the amount she ate. Piper remained in good condition throughout and only began to tire in the last three days.
Piper managed to welp the pups with very little help. She had 8 strong and healthy pups, 4boys 4girls. They were all similar weights and good strong feeders.
At three weeks weaning began. All went straight onto MM mixed with lactol.
At first the kibble was crushed as they couldn't manage big pieces.
The pups really began to thrive once on MM. They had good constant weight gain and looked a picture of good health. The pups left Piper between 7 - 8 weeks. Four out of the eight pups have stayed on MM.
One of the owners has put all her dogs on MM so I think all was a great success.
Piper herself has recovered very quickly from her ordeal. She has quickly regain good body weight and now has better muscle tone than she had before the pups which I feel is a result of the MM.
